Work has commenced on the planning of our first indoor FOMsa Winter Swap Meet for motorcycles only. It is scheduled for sometime in May June 2024 . We are keen for your feedback. We have set up a contact email address winterswapmeet@fomsa.org
So please let us know if you are interested in a site for a Club display, vendor stall or trade stall/display. There will be food vendors & music for all to enjoy. We are working on site fee structure.
An entrance fee $5 for the general public will apply as this, along with all our events is a fundraiser for the FOMsa/ SAHMRI bursary fund.
This year’s European Motorcycle Day Was a success despite the hot weather! it is reported we had over 250 machines on display and three times that call in to visit. We estimate over 1000 people visited to the event over the course of the day. The Show and Shine was well represented and we had many happy trophy winners.
All being well we will reprise the event next year.

Great news, as you are aware there have been road works on the bridge adjacent to the main entry to the Oval. We have been informed that Traffic Management officers will be on hand to regulate traffic flow and override the automated traffic light system to speed up the entry of Rider groups to the Oval.
All is going well with the planning for EMD, but please note there have been road works on the bridge over Junction Creek adjacent to the main entrance to the grounds. Some traffic management measures may still be in place so we advise to use great care when entering & exiting the grounds. your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
We have another event for you! Join us for a night in the Presidents Room and VIP area at Gillman Speedway for the final event of the current speedway season. Cost of the night is just $10 on top of the entry fee at the gate. For this additional fee you will receive a complimentary beer wine or soft drink. It will be a great night with other motorcycling enthusiasts. The ticket for entry into the VIP area will be going live on this website soon. Tickets are limited to 50 so get in as soon as you can.
News Flash!! the venue has been locked in for this year’s ‘Classics at Hart” Historic Motorcycle display at Hart’s Mill Mundy Street, Port Adelaide, SA for the weekend of 12 & 13th of October. Along with the indoor display we will also have our “Shine for Research” show & shine on Saturday and the “Ride for Research” cavalcade parade on Sunday. So start polishing those machines!
We have locked in a visit to Gillman speedway for Saturday March 23rd, for an additional $10 on your normal entry fee you will have access to the VIP Area and President’s Room and receive a complimentary beer wine or soft drink. Tickets will be up on the site for purchase in early February.
Everything is progressing well for next month’s EMD keep an eye on the Hills Courier and the Southern Argus for articles and promotions. We also have community announcements on Coast FM and Flow fm 99.5
European Motorcycle Day will be an event not to be missed. a great opportunity to get on your bike & go for a ride into the Hills on Sunday February 18th. Open between 10am & 3pm Entry to the Oval $5 Entry to the Show & Shine $5 and we will have the usual classes & the “Lucky Bastard” trophy all entrants are eligible for this one.
Next year we will once again be staging the fantastic two day “Classics at Hart” Historic Motorcycle Display at Hart’s Mill, Mundy Street Port Adelaide on Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th October 2024. We will reprise the “Ride for Research” Cavalcade Parade on Saturday & the “Shine for Research” show & shine on Sunday. Club displays of FOMsa affiliated clubs will be a feature. Entry Forms for display bikes will be posted in August. We will also post an entry form for both the “Ride for Research” and “Shine for Research” bikes at the same time. We will also allow walk up entries for these vents on the day. A fee of $10 will apply for each bike entered in the Cavalcade Parade & Show & Shine events. The entry of Display bikes is as always free!
Online entries are now closed, if you wish to attend you can buy a daily tickets at the start of each ride day. May I extend a big thank you to all those who have entered online. This makes administration of the event so much easier for the small band of dedicated volunteers who work so hard throughout the year to bring the FOMsa events to you.

Together our great South Australian Motorcycle Clubs have established the FOMsa – SAHMRI PhD Student’s Medical Research Bursary Fund. The objective of the fund is to raise funds to be used as an annual monetary grant. To be used to purchase equipment and provide Lab time to assist in the field of study of the recipient.
It is our aim to foster our brightest young talents and keep them here in South Australia, giving them an opportunity to establish themselves as research leaders into a diverse range of medical disciplines.
With your help & support we are sure we can succeed.
FOMsa stage a number of events providing opportunities for the motorcycle community to come together. To enjoy their passion for showing and riding their machines. We encourage interaction between all the diverse range of clubs. When they come together and enjoy a great day out.
