FOMSA Tiddlers and Bigger Bike Rides
Monday October 6th ‘25
The Veteran and Vintage Club are presenting 2 rides on the Holiday Monday.
These will start from Federation Park opposite the Hotel on the main road, in Gumeracha.
Please be there in plenty of time for the 9.45 briefings and collect raffle tickets, stands up at 10am.
There will be parking space for those wishing to trailer their ‘bikes there.
TIDDLERS Ride.
This ride is designed for the lower powered bikes such as veteran, vintage, autocycles, scooters or other such similar slower motorcycles, or riders.
Distance is about 60kms, and the average speed will only be about 50-55kph.
The route, apart from being scenic, is through non demanding hills and quieter roads.
A combined riders briefing will be held at 9.45 and will leave a few minutes after the other bikes.
A refreshment stop will be held at Mt. Pleasant, from a venue of your choice, pay as you go.
You will then return to Gumeracha on roads through the Mount Crawford Forest.
BIGGER BIKE Ride.
This ride is for those that wish to travel further and a bit quicker than the 50-55kph average of the Tiddlers ride. It is for bikes and riders, who can comfortably sit on the posted speed limits.
Once again it is through scenic countryside with a variety of roads and with more hills to climb.
There will be a refreshment stop at Mt. Pleasant from a venue of your choice, pay as you go.
On the way back to Gumeracha you will pass through Springton and Williamstown.
The distance of this ride is 125 kms approx.
RIDE FINISH and afters
The GOOD PANTRY, adjacent to Federation Park, will be open for a coffee or snack before and after the rides.
The BIG ROCKING HORSE, a few hundred metres down the road, will also open for coffee and snacks.
The VETERAN AND VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE CLUB OF SA.
The Club was founded in1956 and was one of the first in Australia to cater for the veteran and vintage era of motorcycles.
We have regular a Sunday ride each month as well 3 mid week rides ( Northern , Southern and Old Crocks n Tiddlers) each month, as well as the Monthly General meeting.
Our rides have provision for the older slower bikes but it is not necessary to have one to enjoy our relaxed paced rides.
